Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery
The OMFS Department performs service function for diagnosis and surgical management and diseases, injuries and defects of both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the oral and maxillofacial region. This includes curative, preventive, reconstructive or emergency care for disorders related to the teeth, mouth, jaws and facial structures.
Third and final year dental students practice exodontia and minor oral surgical procedures under close supervision of academic staff while Consultant staff performs major OMFS procedures in collaboration with the consultants of the Division of Anaesthesiology and relevant staff of the Ministry of Health.
