The Division of Pharmacology has a professor in Pharmacology and a Senior Lecturer and mainly involved in teaching the pharmacology curriculum. Pharmacology curriculum is taught in the form of lectures, small group discussions and problem-based learning. The therapeutics are taught at the General Hospital Peradeniya by way of ward classless. The staff is also involved in research activities and published their work in peer-reviewed indexed journals with high impact factors. The staff has acclaimed many presidential awards and the renowned Hatton award given for the best research in Dentistry. Other than the research work the staff members are also involved in conducting out-reach programs for small children.
