MASTERS DEGREE IN FORENSIC ODONTOLOGY
Faculty of Dental Sciences

Masters Degree in Forensic Odontology is scheduled to be commenced on 01st October 2018.
This Programme has been designed to impart essential and up-to-date knowledge, skills and favourable attitudes in Forensic Odontology so that the graduate will be able to function as a proficient dental witness to the court.

DURATION: The minimum period of the M.Sc. in Forensic Odontology shall be two semesters (One year fulltime).

CREDIT REQUIREMENT: A total of 30 credits will be required to complete the course

The applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery and one-year post qualification experience. In order to practice forensic odontology in Sri Lanka a person need to have a dental degree registrable with the Sri Lanka Medical Council. Foreign candidates can follow the course with the approval of the University and with temporary approval from the Sri Lanka Medical Council to follow the clinical component.

Other countries USD 9 000

OTHER FEES :
- The registration, examination, library fees are as applied to other post-graduate courses in the University.
- Fees for each repeat exam SLR 2500.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :
i. Applications should be sent on or before 30th August 2018 to the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya along with a self addressed stamped (SLR 70/-) envelope (32X25 cm) and with the payment slip (Account No: BCEYLKLX-7010-588-000-1273343) for SLR 5000/- drawn in favor of Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya. (Cheques will not be accepted)

ii. Applications can also be downloaded from the Dental Faculty Website. SLR 5000/-should be paid in favour of the above given account as a registration fee. When submitting the application the payment receipt should be attached along with the application.
