Oral Medicine teaching is mainly carried for final BDS part I and II dental students. Teaching includes lectures, tutorials, demonstrations and clinicals on various aspects of oral medicine including pain, temperomandibular disorders, potentially malignant disorders and oral cancer, mucocutaneous disorders, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, salivary gland disorders, disorders of oral mucosa and tongue.
Radiology is taught for pre clinical training students include radiation physics, X-ray generating equipments, radiation induced injuries and its prevention, whereas Final BDS part I students learn dental radiography and radiographic anatomy. Final BDS part II students learn dental radiology in relation interpretation of intra oral and extra oral radiographs, radiological features of dental caries and restorations, sequale of caries, periodontal diseases, fibro- cement-osseous diseases, ect.
