The English courses, conducted weekly are compulsory courses. Special classes are also held for students who are less competent in the language on request.

English for weak students who request extra support
ELTU provides necessary support to the students who need extra support in English throughout the BDS programme.

English for DATS
ELTU conducts English courses for the technical officers at the dental auxiliary training school each year. Course designing, conducting classes and the evaluation of the students are performed with the concurrence of the Director/DATS.

Other activities
ELTU conducts English classes for the non academic staff of the Faculty of Dental Sciences.

ELTU also provides English language support that includes editing of documents mainly for the Dean’s office and other academic departments when the need arises.

The ELTU assists the undergraduates during the Inter Faculty Drama Competition and Variety Entertainment programmes which are held after the Intensive Course in English
