The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Faculty of Dental Sciences successfully hosted a workshop on procurement procedures on July 22, 2025, at the Faculty of Dental Sciences with the participation of over 40 academic and non-academic staff members. Ms. U.D.P.M. Yasanayake, Accountant – Teaching Hospital Peradeniya and Mr. B.M.I.A.K. Basnayaka, Senior Assistant Bursar – Faculty of Engineering delivered an engaging and informative session, sharing their valuable insights and expertise.

The workshop covered key topics such as,
1. Basic knowledge on budget preparation and relevant approvals
2. TEC report writing in detail
3. Preparation of specification
4. How to use Standard Bidding Documents
5. Approval limits
6. Shopping and direct purchase method with authority limits
7. Correspondence with Foreign supplier
