The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Faculty of Dental Sciences successfully conducted a “Workshop on Fire Safety” on 09th September 2026 at the Faculty of Dental Sciences. The workshop brought together over seventy (70) staff members, providing an important opportunity to enhance awareness and preparedness regarding fire safety in the workplace.
Mr. Buddika Pelpola served as the resource person and shared valuable knowledge and practical guidance on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, safe evacuation procedures, and appropriate responses during fire-related emergencies.
The session included practical discussions and interactive activities, enabling participants to strengthen their understanding of fire safety measures and their responsibilities in ensuring a safe working environment. Participants actively engaged in the discussions and question-and-answer session, sharing their experiences and seeking clarification on various aspects of fire safety.
The workshop concluded successfully, with participants expressing their appreciation for the practical knowledge and guidance provided during the session. This initiative reflects the Faculty of Dental Sciences’ continued commitment to maintaining a safe and secure working environment and promoting quality-focused activities that contribute to staff awareness, preparedness, and institutional effectiveness.
